Peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2014, age 88, of Wall. Son of the late Michael and Anna (Hornyak) Oreski; brother of the late Michael, John "Zip" (Surviving Jenny), George (late Mary), Paul (surviving Genevieve) Oreski; dear uncle of David Oreski, Raymond (Beverly) Oreski, Annette (Dana) Rimer, Joni (Jack) O'Toole, late George Oreski, Judy Oreski, John (Barbara) Oreski, Michele (Regis) Peternel, late Michael Oreski, Regis (Regina) Oreski, Ami Jo (Eric) Akins. Also survived by numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Mr. Oreski was a WWII veteran in the Army Air Corps. He was also a graduate of California University and received his Master's degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh, and taught shop at Duquesne High School, and was a Home and School visitor at South Allegheny High School. In addition, Mr. Oreski was a member of the VFW Post 1768, Wall, and the Export Moose #234, was a former volunteer and eucharistic minister at Forbes Regional Hospital, a former eucharistic at Woodhaven Care Center, and was a lifelong member of St. Jude the Apostle Church. Family and friends will be received in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, PA 15148, 412-824-4332, on Sunday, March 16, 2014, from 2-8 p.m. Services in the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in St. Jude the Apostle Church. Burial will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery with Military Honors. The Oreski family would like to thank Jackie and the staff at Autumn Ridge and ViaQuest Hospice, especially Sherri, Carolyn, and Daryl, and everyone for the love and support given to Tom.
