BROWN VERA (MEYERS)
83, beloved wife, mom, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at home. She was born November 19, 1928 in Newell, and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Gladys Cullingford Meyers. She was a lifelong resident of Elizabeth, and was a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church. Vera was an Artist. Her creativity and love of life, family, and nature are all with us. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William R. Brown; sons, Richard W. (Laurie) Brown of Brookeville, MD, James R. (Mary Kaye) Brown of Princeton, NJ; daughters, Cheryl I. (Douglas) Kilburn of McKeesport, and Sandra E. (James) Poremba of Elizabeth Twp.; brothers, Glenn E. Meyers of North Port, FL, and Walter T. Meyers of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Amy, Jennifer, Doug, Jr., Mike, Greg, Rick, Caitlin, Ryan, and Alexandra; and great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Karlee; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Kalanonvicz; and brothers, A. Elmer Meyers and Richard D. Meyers. Friends are welcome Friday, October 19 from 6-8 p.m., at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held on Saturday, October 20 at 1:30 p.m., in the Chapel of Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. (Everyone please meet at the cemetery). The Rev. Diane E.M. Gobbel will be officiating. Burial will follow.
