Age 68, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2014. He was born February 17, 1946, in Kershaw County, Camden, South Carolina, son of the late Herbert and Iola Dinkins. Former husband to Peggy Dinkins; devoted father to children, Shawn and Sharnese Carter; loving grandfather of grandchildren, Jalea and Jaleel Bell, Maliq and Shawn Carter Jr., Leilani Fielder-Carter and Johnathan Parker; little brother to and preceded in death by the late Charles Neal, and MacArthur Dinkins; big brother to and preceded in death by sisters, Mary Long, Dorothy Johnson, and Anna Dinkins; he is survived by a brother, Hubert Dinkins; and sisters, Willene Stubblefield, Alice Dinkins, Deborah Dinkins, Constance Dinkins-Carlisle, Renee Dinkins-Malone, Shawn Dinkins; many nieces and nephews, an aunt, uncle, and many cousins. Waiters served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. He worked in the construction field, and enjoyed working on automobiles. He possessed a caring and positive vibe that everyone enjoyed. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Nazarene Baptist Church located at 7053 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA at 11:00 a.m. Interment with full military honors will be provided by the Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Washington County, PA.
