McGOVERN RYAN MICHAEL
Ryan Michael McGovern, 19, of Raccoon Twp., passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, February 12, 2011 in Heritage Valley Beaver. Born December 27, 1991 in McKees Rocks, he is the son of Christopher M. and Lynn (Tighe) McGovern of Raccoon Twp. and was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church in Aliquippa. Ryan was a 2010 graduate of Hopewell High School, where he was a two year volleyball letterman. He was currently a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh, studying criminal justice. Ryan was recently inducted into the Army National Guard and served in the ROTC at the university. His dream was to be a member of the CIA and serve his country in the military. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a brother Patrick C. McGovern of Raccoon Twp.; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Patricia Tighe-Findlay Twp.; paternal grandmother, Patricia McGovern-Pittsburgh; his aunts and uncles, Michael Tighe, Lori and Jack Kennedy, Lisa and Gary Friello, Steve and Tracey Tighe, Melinda and Gabe Naccarato, Michael and Beth McGovern, Michelle and Charles Reitz and James and Sarah McGovern; and many loving great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and friends. Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Thomas McGovern. Friends will be received Thursday from 3-8 p.m. in TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St. Aliquippa. Family and friends will meet Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Titus Catholic Church-Aliquippa, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Fr. Paul Householder, Ryan's pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery-Hopewell Twp.
