FAYE TOMER WARD RUBLE(1939 - 2013)

RUBLE
FAYE TOMER WARD
73, of Salem Township, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 11, 2013. She passed away doing what she loved most, living life to its fullest, while on a great adventure with her granddaughter. Faye was born on October 22, 1939 to the late James E. and Helen (Rubright) Tomer. As she entered heaven, she was met by her first husband, Larry D. Ward; her infant daughter, Lisa Lynette; her older sister, Jeanne Witherow Donaldson; and her older brother, John Wesley Tomer. Her surviving brother and sister, Lloyd Tomer and Roma Sarn, already miss her very much. After graduating with a Master's of Education from the University of North Carolina, she spent her lifetime teaching school, mostly kindergarten and 4th grade, at Gateway Schools in Monroeville. Besides teaching, she had many passions. She enjoyed her 1957-59 Ford Retractable Cars, was the secretary of the International Ford Retractable Club, was the former president of that club's Penn-Allegheny chapter and loved driving her yellow 2002 Thunderbird convertible. She spent much of her time serving and loving God, others, and her church. She loved flowers, creating beautiful places and making life better for everyone around her. She is survived by her second husband, Bobby Ruble, who always made her laugh; her daughter, Tarla (Ward) and son-in-law Keith Gernert, from the Detroit area; her son, Dean Ward and daughter-in-law Leslie (Hetrick), from New Kensington; and her youngest son, Jim Ward and daughter- in-law Lisa, who live in Oklahoma City. She was very proud of her children and their families. She absolutely adored her nine grandchildren. She touched the lives of many deeply. She will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her. The family will receive visitors at 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the BASH - NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381, where services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. A graveside interment service will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont. Flowers are appreciated, or memorial donations may be made to The River - A Community Church, 200 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068.
