Barb, Sean, Brian and Becky,
I just learned of Bill's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man to work for, and I still quote him (Let's get the puck outtta here, and Off like a prom dress).

Yesterday (12/07/13) afternoon my parents told me that my uncle William "Bill" Heenan had passed away in his sleep during the night. Uncle Bill and Aunt Barb have been such a big part of my family life that I am sure the shock hasn't quite set in. My uncle was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, was an wonderful provider for his family, and was extremely blessed. His blessings took the form of being able to see his three children; Becky Heenan Miller, Sean Michael Heenan, and Heenan o'Brian (Brian Heenan); grow, be successful, and start families of their own. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren who he loved more than anything. To say he will be missed doesn't do the phrase justice but I take comfort knowing he and my aunt were able to be surrounded by family when they came down to Greenville for Thanksgiving this year. I am also comforted with the knowledge that he did not suffer. He was sent to the Lord in the comfort of sleep. Rarely are we called to Heaven at time of our choosing, but I take solace in the fact my uncle, "The Heener" left a mark on those who knew and loved him that will never fade.Yesterday afternoon my parents told me that my uncle William "Bill" Heenan had passed away in his sleep during the night. Heenan Family, I knew Bill professionally in the recycling field for years. He was a force of nature there and put on some great parties that were not just for 'fun'- though there was plenty of that - but also a place to bond and build the espirit de corps that made recycling really take off and flourish in the 90's and become almost a 'movement'. Your Bill was at the center of it all. He will be sorely missed and my sympathies are with you.

Dear Barb and Family,

Bill was our GM when I worked at USS in Tin Mill Sales. He was a great leader and always was upbeat with a smile on his face. He will be missed by many and my heart is heavy with grief for your loss. May he be at peace and watch over you always.

Sincerest sympathy,

Oh Barb! I can't comprehend what has happened. Bill surely was a light in many peoples lives. He was a wonderful man, sharing all he had with all he could. Please know all of you are in our hearts and prayers.
I will add, that forever in my memories is a picture of Bill in a yellow/creame argyle sweater, on the grass, on his knees and hands making a human pyramid with my children....he was the inventor of "FUN".
With Love and Sympathy,

Barb and Family -- I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was my GM in TMS. He was a fun, caring individual. I enjoyed working with Bill very much. Always had a twinkle in his eye and a smile to go with it.

I only knew Bill for a short time, but I enjoyed every visit to my parents because of their great neighbors the Heenans. My deepest sympathies to your family during this sad time.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the Heenan family. I was a colleague of Bill's from our first management training session at USS through AISI activities. In addition to being a brilliant and serious businessman he was the life of every party ( and business meeting) and he brought warmth and good humor to each and every meeting. Thank you for sharing him with us - he made the world a brighter ,happier ,funnier place!
Love to you all,
Mindy Fleishman
