Noted retired Director of Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees (SOAR), peacefully on June 6, 2015. Is survived by loving wife, Thelma, of 63 years; children, Darlene, Howard, Brenda, Oliver (Barbara), Edwin (LeSans) Montgomery; brothers, Robert, Richard and Charles (Gwen) Montgomery; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation Sunday, June 14, 2015, 2-6 p.m. at HOUSE OF LAW, INC., Penn Hills. Service Monday, June 15, 2015, 11 a.m., at Laketon Heights United Methodist Church, Penn Hills.

It is with sincere & heartfelt sympathy that I send condolences to you in the passing of your Oliver. I can truly say that he was a true friend to me on many occasions and for this I am grateful. He was a module and a person in my view who exemplified a caring person who dwelled in integrity. We all know how much he love his family, that he was always concerned with the well being of others and he was willing to help wherever and whenever he could. He shared his knowledge and encouraged it, a trait of a great teacher. Please know that Oliver will be greatly missed and always remembered. God bless you with peace, comfortable and an abundance of love.

Dear Montgomery Family,
Besides seeing and greeting Oliver Sr. at NTMBC, I enjoyed his 15 min of fame on the WQED - PBS special. He was a good solid man in this life and will continue to be right on bride of our Lord Jesus Christ in eternity.
