Hilda Brecht Obituary
HILDA M. (nee Crouser)
Age 82, of Ravenna, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2003, at Robinson Memorial Hospital. Born September 12, 1920, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Granville and Nora (Bellis) Crouser. Hilda was formerly of Pittsburgh and Fort Pierce, FL before moving to the Kent-Ravenna area in 1994. She was a devoted mother and wife, who enjoyed taking care of her family. She also worked for J&L Steel in the canteen, RCA as a radio inspector, and the Pennsylvania RR during WWII. Survivors included: son, Dale (Marilyn) Brecht of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter, Judith (James) Roscoe of Rootstown; brother, Harold Courser of Austin, TX; sister, Anna Barton of Youngstown; two grandchildren, Kimberly (Chad) Spurling of Ravenna and James (Trista) Roscoe of Hamilton, OH; also survived by three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Robert Brecht; also preceded by her parents and brother, Cal Crouser. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the direction of WOOD-KORTRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Ravenna Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local Hospice Foundation.
