LAST DAY
Old man sits and thinks about his younger days.
Young man sits and worries about the future.
Days are precious and sometimes too few.
How many days will we have on this earth?
That is not our decision to make.
We need not waste our time on this matter.
Let us enjoy each rising sun that we have been given.
Let us work on doing right rather than wrong.
Let us treat each other with kindness and love.
Threat others as if it were their last day.
Last day to look upon their loved ones faces.
Last day to smell a rich pot of coffee brewing.
Last day to take a deep breath without struggle.
When God turns the page and it is out name on the top of the list.
We hope that it is without pain and suffering.
We hope that the time is not long.
We hope that we have no regrets.
Yearning for peace in our strong hearts.
Waiting for the light to guide us to that wonderful beyond.
As we look back we can smile and be thankful.
We will not miss that last day.
