WILLIAM "BILL" AARON
Age 54, on Friday, May 6, 2016. Beloved father of Mitchel, Wesley, Kyle and Laine Blummer; beloved son of Morry and Sondra (Stutz) Blummer; loving boyfriend of Tira Grey; brother of Marcy (Larry) Grollman; beloved uncle of Joshua and Jordan Grollman; nephew of the late Arlene and Philip Weiner; beloved grandson of the late Nathan and Mary Blummer and the late William Stutz and Martha Stutz Keisler. Bill received his Bachelor's degree in journalism from Ohio University and went on to a successful career in media and marketing. A devoted father, Bill was most passionate about his children and family. He enjoyed basketball and sports throughout his life. Bill will be remembered for his warm and welcoming smile. Services at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Tuesday at 12 Noon. Visitation one hour prior to services (11 a.m. - 12 Noon). Interment Shaare Torah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Temple Sinai, 5505 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.

Perhaps a few years too late, but I was Bill's assistant both at Demand Media and Keek. Bill was a great supervisor and friend. He gave me great advice about so many things and believed in my professional talent.
I think of him often throughout the years. He was truly great person and I am happy to have met him.

Rest in peace brother. We shared a lot of good times in our youth. Colfax, the dice, Davis park, USY, IKC'S etc. We wore out many pairs of Converse all-stars!

To Billy's family --
I am terribly sorry for your loss.
I will always be grateful to Billy for leading our basketball team at the "Y" in Oakland (circa 1973?) to a championship. He was a force in the middle.
While Billy's game and leadership on that team received ample support from Buddy Valinsky, I can assure you that I did very little beyond staying out of the way.

I was an associate of Bill's in his work life. I am a Recruiter who represented him and placed him at Keek, where he was truly loved. I was working with him up until his death and spoke to him just a few days before his surgery. My heart is broken. Bill and I had coffee last month and we greeted each other with a hug and said goodbye with one as well. He was an absolute gem of a person and I will miss the sound of his gravelly voice on the phone - and that smile. Billy and I grew up together on Lilac Street and played basketball at the JCC Clinic and later at Allderdice. He was a great guy and he will be missed. I still can remember playing with him on my team and winning the clinic championship like it was yesterday. His favorite drink when we were younger was Cherokee Red pop.
