WILLIAM BOCK Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jul. 21 to Jul. 22, 2011.
BOCK WILLIAM M.
Age 71, of Bradford Woods, passed on into everlasting life Monday, July 18, 2011. Beloved husband and soul-mate of the late Kathleen Francis (Griggle); loving father of Bonnie Jean Bock (Peter Dattilo), Bruce Elmer Bock, Beth Ann Bock, and Brandy Louise Bock; proud grandfather of Joshua Wolfson (Missy) and great-grandfather of Hanna Beth Wolfson; brother of Irene Labas (the late Nick), Glenn Bock (the late Catherine), Lorraine Rome (Tony), and the late Elmer Bock (Elizabeth). He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Bill and Kathy enjoyed an incredibly special love for each other. This romance began and their true love materialized when they were 13 years old and Kathy broke Catholic school protocol and asked Bill to a school dance where unbeknownst to them, their future brother in-law, Tony (Ron Sarazen) was singing with the band. Since that day, Bill was never separated from his beloved Kathy and they married at age 19 and began a wonderful life raising their children and creating an extraordinary family life. Besides a long and prosperous career in commercial retail development and construction, Bill was an avid animal lover where horses and all dogs of any breed took up a special place in his heart. He was also the ultimate sun worshipper who loved the beach, water, nature and relaxing in the beautiful warm rays of the sun. Bill spent countless evenings singing Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra classics with his family on his karaoke. He was a consummate gentleman, with a soothing and humble persona, and striking good looks. While Bill will be missed beyond explanation by his family, for he was an exceptional human being, son, brother, husband and father, and an all-around spiritually and morally advanced individual who constantly put the welfare of his family and others above himself, we all rejoice in the knowledge that he has been reunited with Heavenly Father and his dear No. 1 Angel - Kathy. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011, 10 a.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, (724) 772-8800. In lieu of flowers the family requests that Masses be offered in William's memory.

Dear Bonnie and family,

I was so sorry to hear from my parents of the passing of your father. I remember him and your mother as wonderful, hospitable people whenever I was at your house on Sample Road when we were growing up. If I had known sooner, I would have oome to the funeral home to pay my respects to him and my condolences to you. God bless!

Bill Bock and I were classmates at St. Francis Xavier Grade School ( I think that we had a total of 12 boys in our class)
Then Bill and I went to North Catholic and graduated in 57. After College I moved quite a bit and lost track of my school friends.
I always considered Bill a friend of mine in Grade School and High School. I offer my sincere sympathy to Bill's family and he will be remembered in my prayers.

HI ALL,
I DON'T KNOW WHO WROTE BILLS OBITUARY, BUT THEY DID ONE HELL OF A JOB. AS A VERY CLOSE FRIEND OF BILL YOU COULD NOT HAVE WRITTEN IT ANY BETTER. AS A FRIEND BILL WAS A TEN. WE HAD SOME GREAT TIMES TOGETHER. MY SPECIAL 0NE WAS OUR TRIP TO PHOENIX IN A U HAUL TRUCK WITH BOB MEINERTS FURNITURE. WE DROVE STRAIGHT THROUGH IN FIFTY HOURS. WHEN LARRY KING ASKED ART LINKLETTER WHAT WAS THE TOUGHEST PART OF GETTING OLD ART SAID LOSING YOUR FRIENDS. LOSING BILL BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. I WAS PLANNING ON STOPPING THIS SUMMER. I COULD NEVER TALK HIM INTO COMING TO THE LAKE. HE LOVED HIS HOME. GIVE THE FAMILY MY BEST JACK
