I thought of him often, in the years since his passing. He was a great and generous man. I miss him.

A joyous man whom I was privileged to have met.

Infectiously happy, exuberant, fun, harmonious and harmonic. Always with the cameras, projectors and recordings, capturing the life and smiles of those with whom he shared meals, music, time and space. He loved and cared for everyone around him, young and old, and we all loved him back, especially so for the entire extended Hollinshead family. We'll miss you Uncle Dick - you and Aunt Savina were an inspiration to so many of us!

It was a pleasure and honor to meet Richard. Visiting my mom at Asbury, I had the chance to hear Richard's stories of music and travel, of film and Westinghouse. One morning I heard him play harmonica in perfect harmony and counterpoint to some music playing in the living room. He never lost his ear or his gift. What an interesting, charming man.

I'll always remember Uncle Dick on New Years Eve...including one when we sprang Uncle Dick from the Home and had a 1 martini toast to the coming year. He was a marvelous man who lived a long and beautiful life. Condolences to Rita and Dianne and their families. Love from Barbara Hollinshead

I was formerly a member of the St Winifred's Parish choir with Savina. I remember meeting Richard at our Christmas party about 10 years ago. After first being shocked over his youthfulness, I was awed at what interesting lives he and Savina lived. I saw Richard again last year when I went to visit my mother at Asbury. May God bless his soul and may his reunion with Savina be as joyful as their lives here on earth.
