A Greatful American

December 10, 2016

God Bless you David Ryan. You are a true American Hero because you had the character & integrity to honorably serve when our great nation called. The Lord jubilantly welcomes all who have served in the armed forces of the United States of America. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Dave and his brothers were close friends with my brother Harry all the years we were young. My best memory of Dave was that he always treated me with respect instead of the pesky kid sister! I had a mega crush on him because he was such a nice guy! Good times remembered. My sympathy to Charles, Edwin, Vivian and all Dave's children and grandchildren.

I was saddened to learn of David's passing. I have fond memories of the fun times--treehouse-building, softball, Birkos's, etc.--we shared as part of a group of neighborhood pals in the early 60's, when my family resided on Thompson Run Road. (That "crew" consisted mainly of David, Edwin, my twin brother Ron and myself, Jerry Lott, Ronnie Comaneci, "Punky", and Charlie Flinko, among others.). I remember that when my father passed away in 1968, David was kind and thoughtful enough to stop by our house to offer his condolences, even though we hadn't seen each other for several years.

I extend my deepest sympathies to his family.

dear family I didn't know your father personally, but we are of the same era and I had 5 first cousins who were called to duty to serve our country and keep americans safe and your father proudly did.. Your father was a hero. At that time many were going to canada, attempting to be college exempt with a 2.0..I stand with you and will never subscribe to the PG.. I am sincerely sorry for your loss my prayers are with you and your family and thank you to your husband for serving our country also.
