QUIRINO COLAIZZI Obituary
QUIRINO
On his wedding anniversary, Friday, February 24, 2017, he went to be with his late wife, Anna Maria Colaizzi. Beloved father of Ada (Tony) Baiano, Peter (Karen) and Henry (Leslie) Colaizzi and Donna (David) Wilds; also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. During his service in the Italian Army, Quirino was held captive by the Nazi forces for six months. He emigrated to America in 1956 and became a proud US citizen. He led by example as a hard worker, faithful husband, devoted to God, and loving father. Loved by his family, "Taton" was an avid gardener and loved singing at any occasion. Friends received Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the WINTER FUNERAL HOME, P.C., 4730 Friendship Ave. Funeral on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maria Goretti Church, Friendship Campus at 10 a.m.

Colaizzi Family,
I have many memories from Ella Street with the Colaizzi Family. I remember Ada taking me for a ride when she got her license.
Donna being best friends with my sister Janice.
Every time I walked by the Colaizzi house Mr. Colaizzi and his wife Anen was always so friendly and we shared many talks. My Nani was friends with them also.
I was surprised to know Mr. Colaizzi was held captive in the war.
I seen Mr. Colaizzi a few years ago at Little Italy Days. I was so happy to see him.
There is something missing from Bloomfield, it's all the Italians that are gone from the Avenue.
All my neighbors growing up are gone.
I have my memories, and the Colaizzi Family is one of them.
