Of Hunker, PA, 63, died quietly at home on December 19, 2011, her beloved dogs at her side. Margaret grew up in Oakmont, PA. After graduating from high school, she attended drama school in Chicago, IL and London, England. She was a talented and versatile woman; during her life she was an actress, film producer, artist, animal rights donor/activist, organic farmer and restaurateur. She created Queen City Theater and Blind Faith Films while living in Elmira, NY. Margaret wrote, produced and directed two feature-length movies featuring The Street Corner Kids. When she returned to Pennsylvania she co-founded, with her daughter Cayce, OohMahNee Farm, a sanctuary in Westmoreland County for abused, abandoned and neglected farm animals. Later she created Maggie's Organics, healthy food products from her organic farm. She founded vegan restaurants in Stahlstown, Pennsylvania and Oakland, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her daughter, Cayce Mell; son- in-law Jason Tracy; grandchildren, Aedan and Aevah Tracy; her sisters, Cathy Raphael and Alexandra Raphael; her nephews, Adam and Mark Placzek and their families; and nephew, Alexander (Sandy) Raphael.
