Bill and I were teammates at the University of Virginia in 1969 and 1970. He was a great competitor and a fun-loving guy -- we missed his talent and good nature after he transferred to South Carolina in 1971. I followed his pro career and cheered when he and the Colts beat the Pats in '78. My condolences to his family.

Patty and I were very sad to hear of Bill's passing. He was a great teammate and friend to all of us who played for the Colts during that time. May God give peace to his friends and family. He will be missed

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing and of your loss. I was a teammate of his with Colts. I knew him as a humble man of character, always striving and a great teammate. Lost touch over the years but I know all his teammates would agree and add much to my words. Peace to all who loved and cared for Bill.
