SUZANNE DAVIS Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 13, 2014.
DAVIS
SUZANNE (KEISER)
76, of Media, PA, Suzanne Davis passed away suddenly on January 9, 2014, due to complications from leukemia. Born and raised in Wilkinsburg, PA, she graduated from Wilkinsburg High School and Carnegie Tech. When she was a stay at home mom, she used her artistic talents to contribute to the household income. Her artwork adorns many homes and has won a number of awards at the Media Art Festival and the Riddle Fair. She was also a skilled seamstress and a great cook. Upon re-entering the workforce, she worked as the longtime sales manager at Media Subaru before going on to the Franklin Mint, and later Congregation Beth Israel of Media where she was the administrator at the time of her death. She was a family and local history enthusiast and a member of the Middletown Township Historical Society. She also helped compile and write the history books of the Williamson Trade School. A lifetime animal lover, she enjoyed watching the backyard wildlife feed as she had her morning coffee. She also enjoyed spending evenings on her patio with her beloved late grandcat, Blackie, by her side on his own chair. Cape May, NJ was one of her favorite places. Suzanne was a great mom and grandmother and she will be terribly missed by many. She was the daughter of the late Paul R. and Beverley (Brown) Keiser; sister of the late John P. Keiser; and the widow of the late Howard C. Davis, Jr. She is survived by her children, Leslie (Robert), Jay (Patricia), and Randal; stepchildren, H. Carl (Carrie) and Holly; and eight grandchildren. Suzanne's Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Her ashes will be scattered in Ligonier, PA, a place that held for her many fond memories of her youth. Donations in Suzanne's memory may be made to CatNIP Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 284, Springfield, PA 19064, www.catniprescue.org. Arrangements by DELLAVECCHIA, REILLY, SMITH & BOYD FUNERAL HOME, INC., West Chester, 610-696-1181.

We are very late in offering our condolences. Realized it when I went to FB to send birthday wishes. We fondly remember all our family visits in Media and Furlong with most of the kids in tow. We left PA in 1976 but kept in touch all through the following years. Leslie, Jay and Randy we wish you nothing but good memories of your Mom. Fondly, Bill and Sharon Galitz, now of Surprise, Arizona

We were truly saddened to hear of your Mother's passing.

Suzanne and I spent many hours working together at Bob Carl Subaru, and over time we grew to become good friends. She excelled in a male dominated industry, often out selling her male counterparts, but when I think of her, what I remember most is her smile. She had such a wonderful sense of humor; she could tell a joke and take a joke - what a wonderful person. I am so grateful to have known her and to have learned so much from her.

Please except our heartfelt condolences,

Janet Baldo
And the Carl Family

On behalf of the Middletown Township Historical Society, I extend heartfelt condolence to the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Suzanne was a tremendous asset to our organization and was a faithful member of our board. We spent many hours together at events and she would talk about her family. She loved you all very much. Suzanne was always ready to volunteer her services. At our December meeting we shared cookies and punch. I was shocked to learn of her passing. We will miss her terribly.

I was shocked and grief stricken to hear the tragic news of the loss of your Mom. My family
and I would like to express our deepest sympathy, at this very difficult time. She was an incredible women, smart, classy, and never had an ill word to say about anyone. My fondest memory was witnessing her speaking to her husband, Mr Davis, about twenty eight years ago. She would call him "Darling" which I thought was so very lovely, as I had never heard a couple speak that way to each other before. While visiting her son Randal, I would love to pass by her, and check the progress of her miniature work on her doll house. She was a very talented lady. She will be greatly missed. So sorry for your loss.

I will miss her terribly. We shared so many memories from the Mint and more. She would probably like it if I took my tears out to my patio on this rare nice day and had a Gin & Tonic in her memory of our times together.

Jack and I have known Suzanne since Kdgn. I lived a block over from her street. When my baby sister was born, Suzanne and I would take her for a walk in the baby buggy. I would let her push it because she wanted a baby sister too. We have stayed in touch all these years. I will miss her emails and all the 'neat stuff' she sent. She was a great friend.

God bless you Suzanne
