75, of Palm Harbor, Florida, and formerly of Glenshaw, Pa., died unexpectedly at 6:30 P.M. Sunday, September 19, 2010, in the Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor, Fla. He was born June 18, 1935 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Joseph J. and Imelda Leon Bauer. Mr. Bauer had been a resident of Glenshaw for forty two years prior to moving to Florida in 2001. He was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a sergeant with Hq & Hq Co. of the 188th Airborne Infantry. He enjoyed his life and liked spending time with his family, traveling, going on cruises, collecting and selling records, the Pittsburgh Steelers and attended three Super Bowls. He was self employed for many years and recently worked for his sons at CMS in Tampa, FL. On October 7, 1954, he married Shirley M. Tedrow, who survives. Also surviving are three sons: Edward Joseph Bauer and Timothy John, husband of Stacey Bauer, both of Palm Harbor, FL., and Arnold Christopher, husband of Lori Bauer of Allison Park, Pa.; and one daughter Sandra, wife of Steven O. Franklin, of Palm Harbor, FL.; one brother, Harold J., husband of Eileen Bauer of Allison Park, PA. Ten grandchildren: Jason, Joshua, and Jessica Bauer of Allison Park; Travis, and Jennifer Franklin, Colin, Cydnie, and Andre Bauer all of Palm Harbor; Codi Bauer and Cynthia Davis of Pinellas Park, FL.; Six great-grandchildren, and 21 nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents, is a son Ronald C. Bauer and a daughter-in-law Michele Bevelocqua Bauer. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of blessing services at 1 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 in the RUSH FUNERAL HOME, INC. Rogersville, Pa. with Rev. Richard J. Thompson of St. Ann's RC Church officiating. Interment will follow in Centennial Cemetery, Aleppo Twp. Greene Co. Pa. Graveside military rites will be accorded by representatives of the U.S. Army, American Legion Post 330, V.F.W. Post 4793 and the D.A.V. Post 123 all of Waynesburg.
