1922 - 2018 Obituary Condolences

Passed peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at age 95. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Magdalene (Kalb) Ranker. Though born and raised in Pittsburgh, she spent most of her life in Youngstown, OH alongside her beloved husband, the late William T. Williams. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Dorothy Ranker, Magdalene "Sally" Gilmour and Charles M. Ranker; she is survived by many nieces and nephews, who adore her. Clara was an avid knitter, providing the less fortunate with warm hats, mittens and slippers every winter. She was a member of a ladies club, who annually made and provided lap blankets to seniors in nursing homes. She volunteered for many years at a variety of other nonprofit organizations through the VSA-Volunteer Service of America. In 2004, at Ohio Governor Bob Taft's mansion, she was recognized for her extraordinary devotion and service to the quality of life of all Ohioans. Clara had a kind and generous soul. She was a true Christian woman, who could be found every morning reading her Bible. Clara's family will welcome friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at KING FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park. A Funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, at the King Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Uniondale Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
