CLYDE FRANCIS MARIOTTI Obituary
MARIOTTI CLYDE FRANCIS
Of Jefferson Hills, passed away at the age of 85 on May 6, 2018, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was born in Chicago, IL, and served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. In 1954, he married Patricia Zytniowski and they had three sons. Clyde spent more than 45 years in active fire service in the city of Chicago, including 12 years as Chief of Training at the Chicago Fire Academy and then eight as Chief of the Tri-State Fire Protection District. Clyde was a past President of the DuPage County Fire Chiefs Association, a member of the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association and the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), and a life member of the Chicago Fireman's American Legion Post No. 667. He was an Eagle Scout and spent many years volunteering with Boy Scout Troop No. 406 in Chicago. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia; and is survived by his wife, Shirley Boyle and the Boyle Family with whom he shared many wonderful memories; his sons, Duane (Westminster, CA), Leonard and his wife, Susan (Springfield, MA), and David and his wife, Michele (Oak Lawn, IL); his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private burial is scheduled at the Sarasota National Cemetery, facilitated by TOALE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME of Sarasota.
