DANIEL P.
Age 57, of Monroeville, on Sunday, August 14, 2016. Beloved son of the late Leonard A. O'Connell, Jr. and the late Joan M. O'Connell; nephew of Frank O'Connell, Judy Ziegler (Thomas), Mary Ellen Garland (the late John) and the late Robert O'Connell (the late Carol); also survived by cousins and many good friends. Dan was a real estate agent with O'Toole Real Estate Agency. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at the GENE H. CORL, INC. FUNERAL CHAPEL AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). A Blessing will be held on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-2151. My condolences to the O'Connell family with the loss of Danny and his dad. We will always remember how very sweet he was and we will have a Miller to celebrate his life. RIP my dear friend.

Dan was a neighbor growing up in Cherry Hills. He was a good friend to my brothers and he happened to have a puppy that was on offspring of our dog Siegfried...Tippy. My sister Karen died in April and Dan wrote a nice note. May you rest in peace.

I am simply at a loss for words. Suffice it to say, anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Dan knows what a kind and pleasant man he was. From back in the days of high school - he was always fun to be around and you knew he always had your back. God Speed, Dan....there is a special place for you in heaven with your parents.

Dan was a true gentleman, a good man, a man of integrity who had the biggest heart. My daughters and I were so very blessed to be a part of his life. The kindness, love and generosity he showed us will always be treasured and I am forever grateful. I am a better woman for knowing and loving him.
