ANGELO DAVID ANTHONY
March 10, 1938 - June 24, 2009 71, of Brentwood, formerly of McKees Rocks and Aliquippa, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, from myelodysplastic syndrome. Born to the late Nicholas Angelo and the late Dena DiYanni Angelo, David was known for his creativity and playful nature. As an accomplished trumpeter in his teens and twenties, David played in his brother Nicholas's band. He ultimately became a steelworker at the LTV plant in Aliquippa. David was also known for his dedication to country and family. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard Reserve, a devoted husband and father, and an entertaining Tata to his two grandsons and uncle to many nieces and nephews. In his spare time, David enjoyed cars, fishing, and big family dinners. David is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna (Stuchell) Angelo; daughter Deborah (Robert) Baran; grandsons Elliot and Dorian Baran; brothers Charles (Lorraine, deceased), Nicholas (Patricia), and Dennis and their families; brother-in-law Robert Stuchell and cousin-in-law Elaine (Tom) Brickner and their families. In addition, the friendship of LeJeune and DeVito families was greatly cherished. He was preceded in death by his youngest brother Ernest. David's family thanks Dr. Amjad Jalil, Dr. Raymond Crouch and their teams and the nurses at the Infusion Center of Jefferson Regional Medical Center. The family also thanks the Central Blood Bank of Pittsburgh and its generous donors. The uncommon dedication and compassion of all of these individuals granted the Angelo family many precious moments. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the CIESLAK & TATKO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2935 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, 412-881-2300. Funeral Mass Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Wendelin Church. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in David's name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 333 East Carson Street, Suite 441, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or to Forbes Hospice, 115 South Neville Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
