Obituary Condolences

85, of Wheeling, formerly of Pittsburgh, on November 15, 2012, after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and childhood sweetheart, Eugene "Knute" Boyle; her parents, Emilia and Joseph C. Price of Pittsburgh; a brother, Robert Price of Michigan; eight brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law; one niece and three nephews. Dot is survived by her children, Janet (Tim Cogan) of Wheeling, Joan (Ken Kuehl) of Hartford, CT, Joyce (Tim Vollmer) of Canonsburg, and Ken Boyle (Donna) of Wheeling; grandchildren, Christina Vollmer Pierce (Bill), Katelyn Kuehl Davidson (Kurtis), Nicole Vollmer, Kevin Cogan, Jaclyn Kuehl, and Joy Mann; great-grandchildren, Cole and Viola MacNeil; a sister, Rita Hahne of Tucson, AZ; a brother, Paul Price of Baldwin; an aunt, Regina Rose, of Mt. Lebanon; 65 nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and many dear, lifelong friends. Dot graduated from St. Basil High School and Robert Morris College. She and Knute married in 1949 and were founding members of St. Germaine Parish. She loved the warm, gentle family in which she was born and the large, lively one into which she married. Dot also enjoyed bridge, golf, travel, reading, cooking and crossword puzzles, and she was passionate about the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. Friends will be received at the JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Friday from 1-4 p.m. Dot's brother-in-law, the Reverend Robert J. Boyle will then celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 3609 Washington Avenue, Finleyville at 5:00 p.m. Friends who wish to honor Dot may make a contribution to their favorite charity or to the Catholic Neighborhood Center, 125 18th Street, Wheeling, WV, 26003, or the , P.O.
