EGIDIO MATTUCCI Obituary
On Saturday, December 31, 2011. Father of Dominic Nicotra and Valerie Iskey-Nicotra; son of the late Luigi and Maria Mattucci; brother of Fannina, Alio, Mario and Lucia; also survived by several nieces and nephews in the Pittsburgh area and also in Italy. Gino was born in Fano a Corno in the Abruzzi Region of Italy and came to America at the age of 16. He lived with friends of his father, the Vaccari Family, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania. He went on to become a successful business owner, owning several taverns and apartment buildings. Gino's Bar in McKees Rocks was the last business he operated for the past 25 years. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the THOMAS P. KUNSAK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3552 California Ave. at Davis Ave., Funeral Mass in Risen Lord Church on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Gino was a very good friend to my father, Harry "Honey" Murphy. I will always be thankful to Gino for his friendship. He was a very kind man. We were saddened to hear of his demise. May he rest in peace. Carol Goodall and family; Brett Chiccarello,Scott Chiccarello
