CLARK ETTA (STEPHENSON)
Peacefully at home, on Monday, May 10, 2010, age 98. Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Lester W. Clark; mother of Arthur K. Clark of Newark Valley, NY and Mary C. Roehrich of Pittsburgh; grandmother of Anne Marie Clark, Betsy C. Feyling, Roland Mark Roehrich and Kirstin Roehrich; great-grandmother of 5. Born in Wamsutta, Wyoming on December 19, 1911, the year Wyoming became a state, Etta was raised on a farm in Saskatchewan, Canada until her return to the U.S. in 1925. After graduating from High School in Kansas City, MO, she moved with her family to Washington, DC during the Great Depression. She married Lester W. Clark on January 24, 1935 in Arlington, VA. They settled in Westchester County, NY in 1949 and continued to live there until 1985 when they moved to Naples, FL. They moved to Pittsburgh in 1997. A memorial service will be held in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 5801 Hampton St., 15206 on Saturday at 10:30 am. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Arrangements by McCABE BROS., INC.
