BROCATO GEORGE E.
Age 72, a lifelong Oakmont resident passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018. Dear son of the late Samuel and Josephine (Angelovich) Brocato; beloved husband for 53 years of Lorraine (Adams) Brocato; loving father of Amy (Jason) Mastrocesare, Becky Brocato, and the late Nick Brocato; grandfather of Michael Siemianowski, Tyler Mastrocesare, Jeffrey Houston, Eric Murrell, Andrew DeChantal, and the late Emily Houston; brother of Jack (Janet) Brocato; and also survived by nieces and nephews. George was a graduate of Oakmont High School class of 1964 where he played football for the late Chuck Wagner. He was an Oakmont Volunteer firefighter for 30 years, serving as chief for 15 years immediately following his Father after he had served as the chief of the fire department. George was an electrician for 37 years at the former Edgewater Steel Corporation in Oakmont. He enjoyed antique and classic cars, and was a lover of Gettysburg. Friends and relatives will be received on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 2-7 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., Oakmont, 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, where a firefighter's service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home at the conclusion of the visitation. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for their discretion.

i lived in oakmont 30 years and it my pleasure to have known george most of that time,he was a wonderful man.he was first on the scene when my kids started a small fire at home.lost touch over the years ;but never forgot him.my prayers are with you all. richard
