Obituary Condolences


Age 71, after a long struggle with brain cancer and its after effects, died peacefully in her home in New Port Richey, Florida. She was previously a resident of Bethel Park and Peters Township for many years. Gloria died in the presence of her husband, family, and friends.  She is survived by her husband Joseph; her sons Karl, Keith, Joseph, Stephen, and Nicholas; and 13 grandchildren, Kevin, Matt, Joe, Jessica, Emily, Anna, Michael, Lily, Caitlyn, Sammy, Gabriel, Savannah, and Maria.  Gloria was the daughter of Aurelia Basinski (Sierka) and Wallace Basinski.  She graduated from Sacred Heart High School with her husband's sister, Sallie,  and attended the University of Pittsburgh.  Gloria was the sister of Wallace Carrol (deceased), Ralph Basinski, and Kenneth Basinski (deceased).  For a number of years Gloria was the owner of Video Spotlight and the Barvarian Beer Distributor in South Park.  At the same time she was active in Peters Township.  She will always be remembered as a strong and family-centered woman who was the loving mother of five sons and worked closely with her husband, Joseph, in various enterprises and managed a business at the same time.  A funeral service will be held at St. Valentines Roman Catholic Church in Bethel Park at 10 a.m., on Saturday, July 14, 2018.  Burial will be at St. Josephat's Cemetery.
