Obituary Condolences

Age 95, of Wexford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Helen is survived by her husband, Rudolph; her son, Robert; and her daughters, Nancy (Self) and Leslie (Wardrop). She was blessed with four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. Helen was the seventh of ten children born to Justine and Steven Kusner, who were Slovak immigrants who settled on the North Side of Pittsburgh. Helen was married to Rudolph J. Kroft for 54 happy years. She taught parochial school in Glenfield and was actively involved in her parish. She was an avid walker and you would see her often strolling with her friends throughout the neighborhoods of McCandless. She loved to entertain and spend time with her extended family and many friends in their beautiful home of 45 years. Friends received Sunday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at GEORGE A. THOMA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 10418 Perry Highway, Wexford. A funeral mass to celebrate her full life will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Alexis Church, Wexford. Burial will follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Alexis Building Fund 10090 Old Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090.
