CUBAKOVIC IRENE
90, of Twinsburg, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Grande Village Manor in Twinsburg following a short illness. Born January 21, 1922 in North Braddock, PA, she moved to Rankin in 1946, then to West Mifflin in 1964. She has resided in Twinsburg since 2006. Irene was a graduate of Alexander Scott High School. She worked in the office at US Steel, Edgar Thompson Plant. Prior to that, she worked at Jaison's Clothing Store in Braddock as a cashier. She was a member of the former St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rankin and the Christian Mothers of the parish. Irene was a member of SS. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church in Twinsburg, and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Surviving is her son, Mark (Robyn) Cubakovic of Bethel Park, PA; daughters, Linda (Rev. Mr. Edward) Chernick of Twinsburg, Ohio and Mary Kay (Fran) Vautier of Hershey, PA; grandchildren, Jason (Maggie), Renee, Jeremy, Jamie; great-grandsons, J.R. and Troy; and her son's companions, Bella, Gidget and Duckie. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Edward in 2001; parents, Paul and Mary (Ivan) Ruglovsky; brothers, John and Edward; and sisters, Susanna Vanischak and Agnes Puhala. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, 7441 Washington Street, Swissvale, PA 15218. Funeral mass at St. Anselm Catholic Church, Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Monongahela Cemetery, Braddock, PA.
