JACK C. BOLLMAN Obituary
BOLLMAN JACK C.
On Sunday, November 10, 2013, Jack C. Bollman, age 78, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends. Loving husband of Bernadette (Kosiba); treasured father of Sarah Beth Casto (T.J.) and Elisa (Drew) Wallace; proud grandfather of Nathan Wallace; dear brother of Beth (Walt) Willis and the late Robert, Byron, and Jean; beloved friend of Joseph Schragel. Jack was the son of the late Robert and Alice (Cornelius) Bollman, and grew up in Ashtabula, OH, on the shores of Lake Erie. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Bennington. He retired from Port Authority of Allegheny County, having earned the nickname "Streetcar" after many years working at the South Hills Carhouse. He served as a mentor and friend to many whose lives would be forever changed. He loved trains, coins, Civil War history, westerns, and anything with his hero, John Wayne. We will always treasure the memories made on family vacations to Hawaii, Disney, and the shores of Dewey Beach, Virginia Beach, and Lake Erie. Friends and family are welcome on Friday 6-9 p.m., with Funeral Service at 8 p.m. at READSHAW FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1503 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210, (412) 882-3850. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Jack requested memorials to The Salvation Army, who helped him in his time of need. "Illegitimi Non Carborundum". Send condolences to:
