A Memorial Service will be held to honor his life on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the afternoon at Huntersville Oaks, 12019 Verhoeff Drive, in Huntersville, NC. Greg was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and raised in Bethel Park. He received his Associate's degree from Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh. Greg has always been a water sport enthusiast and was excellent at slalom skiing, trick skiing, sailing, fishing, and swimming. His special talents were telling jokes and stories and building and fixing things without guidance, but always professional results. He was a kind soul that never met a stranger and through the customer service mindset even opened a bakery selling cinnamon rolls in Durham, NC, as a sweet addition to everyone's life, just like him. He was active in Boy Scouts and enjoyed camping with the troop and family. Greg had a wonderful and joyous light about him and eagerly shared it with everyone, making each moment spent with him brighter and happier. He was predeceased by his mother, Mildred Bache Steele and father, Albert Bernard Steele.
