JENNIFER ANN (KNECHTEL)
40, of West Deer, slipped peacefully into the hands of God Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous, eight year battle with breast cancer. She was born November 4, 1971, to Dave and Kathy Knechtel; treasured granddaughter of Teresa Stevick; loving wife of Herb Loper; devoted mother to Joshua and Tyler; cherished sister of Lisa Page (Kevin) and Jeff Knechtel (Erin); prized daughter-in-law of Darlene Loper; dear sister-in-law of Diane Tristani (Dominic); and adoring aunt to Tanner Gill, Dominic, Natalina and Samuel Tristani, Brayden Knechtel and Brynley Jennifer Page. She is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles Knechtel, Frank and Harriet Margel and father-in-law, Herbert Loper. Jennifer loved her animals, enjoyed outdoor activities, reading and spending time with her family. She was deeply committed to her faith and was an active member of East Union Presbyterian Church. Per Jennifer's wishes, there will be no viewing. A Memorial Service will be held at East Union Presbyterian Church Community Center, 292 East Union Road, Cheswick, PA 15024 on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations in Jen's memory be made to East Union Presbyterian Church or Adagio Health, Breast Cancer Screening Program, 960 Penn Avenue, Suite 600, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
