ZITO KATHERINE
Mrs. Katherine "Tootsie" Liberty Hempel Zito, age 92, died peacefully at home on November 15, 2010 after an extended illness. Born November 7, 1918 in Braddock, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Zito lived in Braddock Hills, PA until 2002 when she moved to Chocowinity, NC to live with her son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Lori Zito. In addition to her son, she is survived by three sisters: Florence Trax, Essie Muro and Connie Monroe all of Pittsburgh, PA area and two grandchildren. There will be no visitation or public services. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Mrs. Katherine Zito's memory to Beaufort County Developmental Center at 1534 W. 5th Street Washington, NC or to the ARC of Beaufort County at the same address.
