Obituary Condolences

92, of West Mifflin, peacefully at home on Jan. 6, 2013, born Sept. 6, 1920, in Monesson. Daughter of the late Crescenzo and Mary (Mastascusa) Bofo; and the beloved wife of the late Leo Downie; loving mother of Mary Lou (Jim) Maxwell of West Mifflin, and Nancy Downie (Bob Stanley) of Delmont; sister of Jennie Stafura of Illinois (formerly of Pgh.); also survived by four grandchildren, Gina (Tom) Cato, Robin Maxwell (Vanessa Suncine), Jackie (Doug) Allen, and Michelle (Mike) Devlin; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Downie was a member of Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin, the Marian Guild, and the Happy Hour Club of Resurrection of which she organized many of the club field trips. Friends received Tues., from 2-9 p.m. at The WILLIAM S. SKOVRANKO MEMORIAL HOME, Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. Mass Of Christian Burial Wed., Jan. 9 at 10:30 a.m. in Resurrection Church. Burial in St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery, Munhall.
