Obituary Condolences

82, of Aliquippa, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012. He was born on Nov. 26, 1929 in Aliquippa, a son of the late Michael J. and Mary J. (Srafin) Barna and he was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church. Michael held a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and he retired from Teledyne-Vasco in Monaca in 1991. He also served in the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Natalie (Bonomi) Barna. He is survived by a son, Anthony C. Barna; daughter-in-law, Diane M. Barna; and granddaughter, Isabel Barna, all of Mt. Lebanon. He is also survived by two brothers and a sister, Joseph R. Barna and Joann Barna of Aliquippa, Robert Barna and Rita Barna of Denver, Colorado and Veronica Barna of Orlando, Florida; brothers-in-law, Dante Bonomi of Aliquippa and Aldo Bonomi of Bradenton, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the DARROCH MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2640 Mill Street, Aliquippa, where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Titus Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 50 Moffett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15243.
