CICCAGLIONE PETER (CHICKLO)
78, of Jeannette, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013. He was born April 29, 1934 in Riccia Campobasso, Italy, a son of the late Giovanni and Maria (Zarilla) Ciccaglione. Pete immigrated to the United States in 1951. He served in the US Army and was discharged in 1957. Prior to his retirement, Pete was employed by Pittsburgh Aluminum Alloys Co. in Murrysville. He enjoyed gardening and harvesting his prized tomatoes and making his ever so special wine and salamis. He was a member of Ascension Roman Catholic Church in Jeannette, the M & S Club, the Arlington Sportsmen's Club and the Assunta Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lucia Ciccaglione; and two brothers, Antonio Ciccaglione and Nick Chicklo. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Maria (Cuozzo) Ciccaglione who he married on May 17, 1958; two sons, Peter J. Ciccaglione and his wife Joanne of Penn Township, and James Ciccaglione and his wife Cathy of Presto, PA; four granddaughters, Melissa Carr (Christopher),and Lauren, Julie, and Katie Ciccaglione; a sister, Concetta Santopuoli (Carmen) of Jeannette; two brothers, Giuseppe Ciccaglione (Angela) of Rome, Italy and Salvatore Ciccaglione (Carmella) of Mt. Union, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Friends will be received from 3 until 8 p.m. Sunday in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 228 North 2nd Street in Jeannette. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Ascension Church, 615 Division St., Jeannette with Father John M. Foriska as celebrant. Everyone please go directly to the church. Entombment will follow in the Twin valley Memorial Park mausoleum in Delmont.
