My condolences go to the family of Rachel Mellon Walton. Her community involvements, and charitable giving, are a testament to herself and to her commitment to the city of Pittsburgh. For her grandchildren; Joe, Jim and Rachel, please accept best wishes from an old friend during this sad time. I’m sure you were enriched, as many others evidently were, by having her in your life.

My deepest sympathy to her family -- and in particular to her son, James M. Walton -- on the passing of one of our community's most gracious and generous women. We mourn this loss, but remember her example with gratitude and celebrate her accomplishments and her legacy with joy.
