DR. ROBERT E.
On Saturday, November 24, 2012, at age 83. Dr. Fulton practiced dentistry in Oakland and Fox Chapel for over four decades. His family, which dates to 1772, involved a lineage of medical professionals. Dr. Fulton's avocation involved a love of music, aviation and travel. He visited aviation museums and air shows around the world, including Paris and Moscow. He was active in the docent program at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. His travel included medical missionary activities as part of Brother's Brother inoculation expedition to Bolivia. Dr. Fulton's lifelong musical interests included singing in choirs at Calvary Episcopal Church and Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church and attending Pittsburgh Symphony performances. A graduate of Pitt Dental School, Dr. Fulton served as a Navy officer. Dr. Fulton was married to the late Joan Fulton and Cecilia Fulton. He is survived by daughter, Christine; and son, Peter; and sister, Anne Fulton Dithrich, all of Pittsburgh. He is the son of the late Dr. Brown and Mildred Fulton. A memorial service celebrating his extraordinary life will be held at Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church on Friday, November 30 at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m.
