She grew up in North Braddock, graduated from high school two years early, and was a majorette in the band. During the war she worked at Westinghouse, where Olga Tucker, a friend from work, introduced her to Harry Tucker. Over the years, she was awarded Citizen of the Year and the Good Neighbor Award. She was also the president of the Sr. Americans dinner dance club for over 40 years. Rose was the Estée Lauder representative at Gimbels Department Store and retired as the Head of Sales for the cosmetics department. Rose loved to dance and she and Harry enjoyed listening to polkas every Saturday and Sunday. Rose recently moved to Florida to be closer to her family and made many new friends in her complex.
