RAGOOWANSI TULSIDAS N., MD

Age 85, a Beaver County physician specializing in internal medicine and cardiology, died peacefully on August 8, 2018, at Heritage Valley Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Part of a vast family from Bombay, India, Dr. Ragoowansi was born in Thatta India, and earned his undergraduate degree from St. Xaviers College in 1957 and his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College/University of Mysore in 1963. He married his high school sweetheart Pramila in 1961 and immigrated to the United States in 1964. He completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology in New Jersey, and moved to Beaver County, joining a private medical practice before establishing his own in Beaver Falls. He also worked at New Brighton, Beaver Falls, and Rochester Hospitals, along with The Medical Center/ Heritage Valley, Beaver. Dr. Ragoowansi practiced medicine and served his community for over 50 years and was deeply respected for his care and compassion. Those who knew him would tell you his greatest passion was for his family, especially his son Ashvin, a local neurosurgeon, daughter Neeta, a New York attorney and music business executive, and his cherished grandchildren. Tulsidas will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 57 years, Pramila Ragoowansi, Beaver; son, Ashvin (Beth) Ragoowansi, M.D., Sewickley Heights; daughter, Neeta (Bob Bryan) Ragoowansi, Esq., Manhattan, NY; six grandchildren, Olivia, Evan, Kieran, Aidan, Ashton, and Ava; three brothers, Hira, Kakkan, and Goi Ragoowansi; one sister, Nathi; along with a large extended family, including many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends will be received Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service and Hindu ceremony will follow at noon.
