Born on June 1, 1926, resident of Munhall, passed away on February 9, 2018 in the comfort of his family home surrounded by love at the age of 91 years. Ed was a WWII Veteran and Bronze Star recipient; a U S Steel Homestead Works 48' plate mill employee for 40 years and loved spending time at his camp "Big Ed" in Tionesta. Beloved husband of Rita (McKeever) of 64 years; loving father of Debra (Marty), Diana (Mike) Pochron and Edward (Robin); cherished grandfather of Bryan (Melissa), Kimberly (John), Tara (Nick), Danielle, Tara (Joe) and Hannah; and great-grandfather of Ellie, Ruby, Brooke, Gage, Paul, and Kaiden; multiple grand-dogs and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Preceded in death by parents, John and Mary and five brothers. The family would like to thank Gateway Hospice for the wonderful care and support, especially Patty McCracken. Friends received on Monday from 7 – 9 and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3511 Main St. Munhall 412-461-6394 Funeral Liturgy will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cathedral 210 Greentree Road, Munhall, with Very Rev Andrew Deskevich and Rev.
