ABDALAH JOANNE M. (JOSEPHS)
Peacefully on May 27, 2008, Joanne, 57, of Upper St. Clair. Wife of Very Rev. John Abdalah; mother of Gregory, Joseph and Maria; daughter of Matilda Josephs of RI and the late Louis; sister of Mary Lou Catelli of RI, Lois Kilsey of RI and Dr. Leon Josephs of MA. Joanne was a social worker with Family Hospice and a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral in Pittsburgh where she taught the adult church-school and sang in the choir, she was past president of the North American Board of the Antiochian Women and was the first librarian of the Antiochian Village and former instructor for the WCCC. Vigil will be held Thurs. 4-8PM at the St. George Cathedral, 3400 Dawson Street, Oakland. Funeral Service will be lead by Metropolitan PHILLIP at 8:00pm. Burial Service will be held on Fri. 10:00am at the Holy Transfiguration Monastery, 321 Monastery Lane, Ellwood City 16117. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. George Cathedral Sunday School Building Fund. Arrangements entrusted to the JOHN N. ELACHKO FUNERAL HOME, 3447 Dawson St. 412-682-3257
