Age 86, of Pleasant Hills, on Monday, April 2, 2012. Born Dorothy Isabel Clark, April 6, 1925 in Elizabeth, the only daughter of John and Nellie (Crawford) Clark. Through her mother's family, The Crawford's, Dorothy was a descendent of Betsy Ross, the designer of our American Flag. Graduate of Clairton High School 1943; worked for US Steel, Clairton Works and Pgh. office 1940s and 1950s. In addition to parents, preceded in death by son, William Clark Braun (January 18, 2011) and her three brothers, Crawford, John and Ken Clark; survived by her husband of 66 years, Dr. William G. Braun; son, Daniel K. (Mary) Braun; eight grandchildren, Lindsay, Hilary, Kelsey, Joshua, Nathan, Benjamin, Jarrod and Zachary and nieces and nephews. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, STEPHEN D. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, 1701 State Route 51 (Large), Jefferson Hills. Her funeral service will be in the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. If desired, her family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's or Parkinson's Foundations.
