Obituary Condolences

83, died on April 2nd, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Carol J. (Teskey) Moss. He was born September 14, 1928 in Crafton, PA. He lived in the Pittsburgh area until 1990, moving to Garrett County, MD and then to Morgantown, WV in 2008. He wanted to be remembered as being a friend to both man and beast. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard P. and Vesta (Standish) Moss, his three brothers, Dayton, Harold and Harry and also his first-born infant twin girls. He is survived by his sister, Shirley and her four children in Raleigh NC; he is survived by his three children, Howard and his wife, Carolyn of Volant, PA, Sara of Zurich, Switzerland and Andrew and his wife, Michelle of Pittsburgh, PA; he is also survived by his four step-children, Glenn and his wife, Judi, Douglas and his wife, Debbie, Alice and her husband, Erich and Cynthia and her husband, Glenn; as well as, five grandchildren and 14 step-grandchildren. He served in the United States Army and National Guard, both in active duty and reserves for 26 years. He was active in politics for many years while living in Pittsburgh. He was also very active in church and community affairs. He was a trustee at Slippery Rock University for 6 years. He was a lifetime member of the American Statistical Association, worked for US Steel Research, Bettis Atomic Power Labs and then worked 32 years at Westinghouse Electric Corporation. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 27, 2 p.m. at The Village at Heritage Point in Morgantown. Donald has willed his remains to the WVU human gift registry in hopes of furthering medical education.
