Age 86, of Penn Hills, peacefully in her home on Friday, May 11, 2012. Jane was born on July 1, 1925 to Todd M. and Claire (McCleary) Conklin in West Finley, PA. She married her high school sweetheart, the late James E. Conklin, M.D. She was a loving wife and mother to her family. Among her many interests, she was an avid tennis player, played the piano, and had a genuine love for music and theater. She taught Sunday school for many years at Laketon Heights United Methodist Church, leaving memories in the hearts of her students. She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Conklin, MD; her parents, Todd M. and Claire Conklin a brother, Todd C.C. Conklin; sisters, Barbara C. Stephenson, and Claire Corrine. She is survived by her sister, June C. Hammer; children, William T. (Lynda) Conklin, MD, Christy C. (Gary) Fleming, Lisa C. (John) Gonzales; five grandchildren, Jayme L. Fleming, Melissa J. Fleming, her fiance Erik Cates, Katie Conklin, James and John-Paul Gonzales. Friends received Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES, LTD./ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills, where a Service will be held on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. A private burial will be held at Greene County Memorial Park.
