Obituary Condolences

Age 81, of Scott Twp., on Monday, June 18, 2012. Beloved husband of Peg Sobek-Barbish; also loving father of John (Denise) Barbish, Rob (Melissa) Sobek, Lori Sobek, Joyce, Larry, Jan, and Jeaneen Barbish; and grand pap of Andrew and Claire Sobek; brother of the late William and Louis Barbish. Al had a strong faith and was an active member of SS Simon & Jude Church where he served as an usher at Mass and looked forward to working at the annual church festival. Al joined the US Navy after high school and served aboard the USS Randall. He then began work as a lineman for Duquesne Light Company where he worked with 42 years of service. After retiring from Duquesne Light Company, he enjoyed many happy days fishing with his wife. His friends knew him as "Mr. Fix-it" who had 100 tools and could fix anything. He was always ready to help others. Friends welcome Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 10 a.m. Ss. Simon & Jude Church. Interment St. Barbara Cemetery.
