92, of Moon Twp., died on February 9, 2013. He was born in Pittsburgh on September 14, 1920, the son of the late Marcus and Anna (Urbauer) Holpfer. Marcus served his country in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He earned his bachelor degree from Slippery Rock University and a Master's from the University of Pittsburgh. He retired from teaching at Cornell High School where he was a football and golf coach, was a member of the Coraopolis Masonic Lodge # 674, and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis. Marcus enjoyed golf, woodworking and was proud of his Austrian heritage. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jean (Dalzell) Holpfer in 2004. He is survived by his three daughters, Barbara Eidenmuller (Kirk), Franklin, PA, Karen Schweiger (Gerard), Coraopolis, Janet Rimbey (Michael), Kennesaw, GA; four grandchildren, Erica Schweiger, Carrie Schweiger, Michael Rimbey and Jamie Adams; two great-grandsons, Reed and Everett Rimbey. Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 13 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES OF MOON TWP., (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) Private interment will take place at Coraopolis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to any charitable organization of your choice.
