LORI BRITE Obituary
BRITE
LORI
Of Moon Township, died unexpectedly Monday, March 25, 2013. She was born Sept. 9, 1959 in Moon Township, the daughter of the late James William and Viola Margaret "Peg" Crowe. She is survived by her husband, Steve Brite and two daughters, Amanda B. Gillooly of Neville Township, and Ashley Seemann (Nick) of Imperial. She is also survived by two vibrant grandchildren, Nicholas and Lilly Belle-both of whom she adored. Also surviving are six brothers and sisters, Judy Spossaro (Carmen) of Atlanta, GA, Janet Fenimore (Robert) of Moon Township, Dale Crowe (Stephanie) Fairhope, AL, Margie McElhaney (Jeff) of Hookstown, Sheri Henderson (Dennis) of Clinton and Tim Crowe of Neville Township. She will also be missed by the father of her children, Andrew Homol, who remained a friend. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by the two canine companions with whom she and Steve made their home. A homemaker, Mrs. Brite was a lover of music, and taught both her daughters the beauty of rock 'n' roll - especially Janis Joplin, Neil Young and Crosby Stills Nash. Movies resonated more with Mrs. Brite. She imparted her love of movies with life lessons to her children (movies such as "Harvey", which taught people that it is more important to be "oh so pleasant" than "oh so smart" and "Gone With the Wind", whose main protagonist epitomized grit and determination). Although she didn't enjoy cooking, it was a skill she came by honestly - she had a gift for the culinary arts (and if you never had her chicken and homemade noodles, you just haven't lived). In fact, Mrs. Brite was an artist at heart - not only having the ability to sketch beautiful pictures, but to make beautiful poetry. She died without having completed a book of poetry, despite the hundreds that she had written over her lifetime. Friends will be received Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 987 Beaver Grade Rd., Moon Township, PA 15108. Arrangements by COPELAND'S.
