ROSS THOMAS E.
Age 89, of West Mifflin, was called home to be with Jesus on March 24, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Vera H. Ross; loving father of Kathleen Ross (Richard) Kotun and the late Sandra Ross (Steve) Wetherbee; grandfather of Brian and Christina Kotun, Nikki Moore, Nicole Wetherbee (Charlie) Gilbert, Ashley, Tearney, and Kendra Wetherbee; great- grandfather of Addison and Aubrey Kotun, Leah, Marissa, and Raelynn. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin Ross (Bess). Also survived by niece and nephew, Heidi and Kevin. Mr. Ross was a direct descendant of George Ross, signer of the Declaration of Independence. He served in World War II in the Army China Berma India (CBI) theatre and was awarded the Meritorious Unit Award by President Truman. He was a 65 year member of Steamfitter Local 449, member of the Masonic Lodge, West Mifflin #4 Skyview Volunteer Fire Department, American Legion, and Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014, and Thursday, March 27, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills. Funeral Service will be Friday, March 28, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Condolences may be left at:
