MILDRED JEAN (CHUTO)
Of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 30, 2014, under the compassionate care of Heartland Hospice, her caretaker Janet Woodward, and her loving family. She was born August 2, 1921, the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Chuto and the youngest of eight brothers and sisters. Jean graduated from Duquesne High School. She was a follower of Christ, a member of various women's groups, a member of the Eastern Star and Gideons. She loved to golf with her late husband and later with her good friends. The devoted wife of Albert D. Matta for 55 years, she is survived by her three sons, Alan (Kathy) Matta, Barry (Arlene) Matta, and David Matta; her daughter-in-law, Roberta Lohr; her eight grandchildren, Alan (Carolyn), Danielle (Justin), Allison (James), Justin (Sasha), Matthew, Keelyn, Jesse, and Grant (Charity); and her ten great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful listener who was loved by her family and will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME.
